Psychiatric Evaluation: This type of evaluation is conducted by a psychiatrist who will interview a client and administer the appropriate tests in order to diagnosis behavior and/or mental health conditions.
 
Psychological Testing and Evaluation: There are a number of testing and evaluation tools used by trained mental health professionals to help diagnose mental conditions or evaluate abilities. These may include psychological tests to assess intelligence, to determine overall mental well-being, or to discover mental health conditions.
 
Neuropsychological Evaluation: This is a specialized type of psychological evaluation that involves tests to assess memory or other brain functions.
 
Court Ordered Evaluation: A judge may order a mental health evaluation in a variety of situations, such as to help decide child custody questions, determine if a person is competent to care for him- or herself, or to evaluate functioning in disability cases.
 
School Psychologist Evaluation: School psychologists work in the schools to help children with emotional, social, and academic issues.  They conduct evaluations to assess problems with learning and identify emotional or behavioral concerns that interfere with success in school.
